We’ve all been there. When you are experiencing intolerance symptoms like headaches, brain fog, digestive issues, and even a bloated stomach! The hardest thing is we usually do not even know what has caused these symptoms. Well, there is one easy way to find out: an intolerance test! There is a good chance that these symptoms are the result of food intolerance and so it is important that you take a test to find out before you embark on an elimination diet.

Food Intolerance

Food intolerance is not a food allergy, that is imperative that you know this. An intolerance is not life-threatening but as a result of these symptoms, it could potentially affect both your work and social life. They are much more difficult to diagnose, even if you try an elimination diet. At Sensitivity Check, we recommend that you do an elimination diet, but after you have got your intolerance test results, as this will save you a lot of time.

The first stage of an elimination diet

One of the most popular questions we receive is about the elimination diet, and what foods you need to remove from your diet. Well, you don’t know what you have an intolerance to until you have done an intolerance test. It is mainly for the short-term as you remove your intolerant foods from your diet in order to feel better about your symptoms. Remember, depending on the high levels of intolerance in your foods, you will have to remove

The second stage – reintroduction

Once you have completed the first four weeks of your diet, you then slowly reintroduce foods back into your diet to see whether or not you continue to experience intolerance symptoms. Some of these symptoms include headaches, bloating, tiredness and fatigue, and by the end of your elimination diet, you will have alleviated these symptoms. If you do not have a reaction to any of these foods then you should be able to reintroduce these foods into your diet without a fuss. Please do, however, reintroduce them slowly and if you do end up suffering from any symptoms then you need to remove that food from your diet again. Your body will still have an intolerance to this food item so please do be careful.
